Terms & Conditions
FEE PAYMENT:
Fees cover one full month. Discounts or refunds will not be given for classes missed by the dancer, unless explicitly arranged with me.
All classes from January 2026 onwards will require payment of 1 month in advance. If a child cannot attend, they may attend another class on a different day.
An invoice will be issued a week before the new month and must be paid before the new month commences in order for your child to participate.
If an invoice is not received, please inform me.
We now only accept card payments via bank transfer for all classes, uniform, etc. No cash will be accepted. If you need the bank details, please let me know.
All fees are non-refundable. If a pupil has a long-term illness or injury, fees may be refunded at the Principal’s discretion. This does not include minor illness or holidays taken during the term.
CLASSES AND ATTENDANCE:
- On the rare occasion that a class is cancelled, it will be rescheduled, usually during the school holidays. If this is not possible, any fees already paid for the scheduled class will be subtracted from the next term’s fees.
- The School will not be held responsible for classes cancelled due to circumstances beyond the School’s control. If it is necessary to cancel a class due to adverse weather conditions / a force majeure, or if a child cannot attend a class due to their participation in another Inspire Dance performance/exam/event, class fees will not be refunded.
- Students must be on time to class and be picked up on time.
- Any child left unattended at the end of their class will be kept inside the locked building, but we may be unable to supervise them as the maximum room capacities do not permit us to have an extra body in the room. Parents understand that if they are late picking their child up, their child will not be supervised and the parent takes full responsibility for their child’s safety and wellbeing should anything happen to them after their class time has ended.
- Students of Primary School age must be collected from the waiting room/hall/exit by a parent/carer or responsible adult. The teacher must be informed if persons other than the child’s parent or legal guardian will collect the child. Students under this age will not be permitted to leave unattended.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY:
- Students wishing to discontinue their classes at the School must give 2 weeks’ notice in writing, otherwise 2 weeks' fees will be charged.
CORRECTIONS:
- Dancing is a physical skill and, in order to help and facilitate the student’s learning, the teacher may physically guide a movement by touch. This will be in a professional manner and the intention of the contact will be made clear. Please contact me if you have any queries about this.
UNIFORM AND APPEARANCE:
- We ask all students to wear the recommended uniform for each class. The uniforms ensure students look elegant and feel confident in their surroundings. Uniforms can be ordered through the school. Please ask for a form if needed.
MISCELLANEOUS:
- The school timetable may be subject to change. Parents/carers will be notified of any changes.
- Dancing is a physical activity and contains a certain amount of risk. Students taking part in any of our classes or events run by Inspire Dance do so at their own risk.
- If students and/or parents break the terms and conditions, they may be asked to leave by Katie and no refund will be given.
- Any queries and complaints should be addressed to Katie only.
Damage to Facilities:
- Responsibility for damage: All parents and guardians are responsible for any damage caused by their child or dancer during classes or events. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to walls, floors, furniture, and any decoration.
- Repair costs: The cost of repairs for any damage will be assessed and billed to the responsible party. This includes costs for materials, labor, and any necessary professional services.
- Respect for property: All dancers and guests are expected to treat the facilities with respect.
- Repeated incidents of damage may result in disciplinary action, including possible removal from the dance school.
Dance Attire:
- All dancers are required to wear the school uniform. After 1 month, uniform must be purchased, at least a t-shirt.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for purchasing the uniform. If uniform is not worn during the lessons, then all black must be worn—no excuses.
- All dancers that attend street lessons must be wearing trainers to all lessons; this is a key element of the style.
The school rules are designed to enhance your children’s learning and enjoyment of the dance experience and help maximise their full potential. If you have any queries regarding our policies, please contact the owner,
